The 2019 Sangiacomo Chardonnay is a beautiful bright gold color with powerful aromatics. Passionfruit and kiwi jump from the glass which is matched by spiciness, mainly white pepper. There are layers of honeysuckle and jasmine.
The aromatics are very powerful on the 2018 Cabernet Franc, as soon as the cork is popped loads of black plum, ripe cherries and vanillin fill the air. In the glass there is freshly ground peppercorns, black currants and coffee grounds.
In 2018 climatic conditions were perfect up on Spring Mountain. This Cabernet is evidence of that. Fresh blackberry, anise and mocha are the first things apparent on the nose followed by cola, acai berry and menthol.
In 2018 we had perfect conditions on Spring Mountain. The color of the wine is a beautiful dark purple at the core with a crimson rim. Immediate dark chocolate and coffee jump out of the glass, as well as blackcurrant puree and fresh blackberries.
