2007 Tina Marie Vineyard Pinot Noir
Russian River Valley
The aroma of the wine is definitely fruit driven, with black raspberry and cherry leading the way. Violet floral aromas matched with anise are very prevalent on the nose, while black tea, asian spices and coffee linger in the background. The wine is full and round with graphite and cola on the mid-palette. The tannins, and acidity to match, are a little more sizeable compared to previous vintages. For this reason, the wine will only improve over the next 5-6 years.

2007 Viento Valle Pinot Noir
Anderson Valley
The wine has immediate appeal, with lifted pomegranate, cherry blossom and brown sugar on the nose, balanced with complex minerality. The wine has generous viscosity with dusty cocoa and rhubarb pie on the mid-palette. The soft tannins and bright acid suggest that the wine will hold nicely over the next 4-6 years (2009-2015).

2007 Merlot
Spring Mountain District
The wine has a deep purple core and medium purple rim. Ripe pomegranate and dark cherry are immediate on the nose, followed by granite, earl gray tea spice and crushed violets. The palate is full in body, typical to form for quality merlot. Graphite minerality and earth are prevalent on the mid palate but not as intense as the black cherry, licorice and pepper. The finish is very persistent, with lingering coffee and black cherry. The wine is beautiful now with big food, but will age nicely over the next 7-8 years (2009-2016).

2007 Rattlesnake Hill Cabernet Sauvignon
Spring Mountain District
The wine is dark deep purple, and has ripe currant and blackberry instantly on the nose. Traditional Rattlesnake aromas of graphite, volcanic earth, black olive and deep dark chocolate match this. As the wine sits in the glass innumerable fragrances evolve. The wine is ultra plush on entry; where the youth of the wine is evident from the full chalky tannins and beautifully balanced acid. The mid-palette has big blackberry, peppercorn and black licorice. This is a truly great example of Mountain Cabernet. Enjoy this wine over the next 15-18 years (2009-2027).

2007 Cabernet Sauvignon
Spring Mountain District
Rich purple in its youth, the wines nose is full of fresh blackberries and ripe pomegranate. There are also aromatics of black pepper, mint and crushed flowers. The weight of the wine is very lush with ripe cassis and fennel on the mid-pallet. The tannins are chalky and well rounded with some bright mountain acidity to complement them. The finish is long and of creamed coffee. This year the wine is much more approachable in its youth, but the wine will age gracefully over the next 8-10 years (2009-2017).

2007 Sangiacomo Vineyard Chardonnay
Carneros
The 2007 Sangiacomo exhibits a moderate gold hue. Lifted honeysuckle, jasmine spice and lemon custard dominate the nose, while subtle white pepper and soapstone linger in the background. The rich palate displays a range of stone fruit, particularly peach and pear, and although viscous the acidity nicely rounds the wine out. This Chardonnay will continue to be fruit driven in its youth, but will develop additional complexity over the next 4 to 5 years (2009-2013).
