The Tasting Experience

Tours and tastings at Barnett Vineyards are a unique and intimate experience arranged by appointment only.  The tour begins in our rustic barrel room with a taste of Chardonnay, and then progresses to one of our award winning Pinot Noirs. When available, a tour through our cave beneath Rattlesnake Hill is included with its impressive glass doors and incredible vistas. Our tastings go hand in hand with an introduction to the property, its vineyards, and the wines.

In warmer months, the group then moves to one of our outside tasting tables with views of 2000 feet above the valley to enjoy a taste of Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon.  After enjoying these two pours, the tour continues through the vineyard to the observation deck on the top of Rattlesnake Hill where we source the fruit for our Estate Cabernet. The deck provides a view of most of the estate vineyards, leading to conversations about mountain farming practices, vine spacing etc.  The deck also affords magnificent views of the Napa Valley floor 2,100 feet below.  Wine Society Members are welcome to reserve a picnic lunch at one of several private tables located on the property.

The tour concludes back in the barrel room, perhaps with a barrel taste of a new vintage of Spring Mountain Cabernet Sauvignon or Rattlesnake Hill Cabernet Sauvignon (if available).

Tours and tastings are by appointment only, are $40 per person, and occur on the hour from 10:00 am to the last appointment at 3:00 pm daily.  Our office is open Monday through Friday from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm. Please call 707 963 7075 to schedule an appointment.
